Overview

Centerline Logistics seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Vetting and Regulatory Compliance team at an entry-level capacity. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Vetting and will play a key role in supporting the company’s efforts to maintain vessel compliance with customer and regulatory vetting requirements. The successful candidate will assist in managing inspection data, tracking compliance milestones, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearance of vessels for commercial service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry and recordkeeping of OCIMF SIRE inspection results for company vessels.
  • Monitor and track vetting milestones and deadlines across the fleet.
  • Follow up with internal stakeholders to gather required documentation and updates.
  • Support the Director of Vetting and Senior Managers in preparing vessels for customer vetting clearance.
  • Maintain organized digital files and databases related to vessel vetting and compliance.
  • Communicate with operations, technical, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on vetting status.
  • Communicate with Customers under the direction of Director of Vetting.
  • After hours responses are integral to the position, which may cause after business hour engagement as directed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in maritime studies, business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in the maritime industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and other digital platforms essential to maritime vetting operations, including data management systems, document control tools, and collaborative software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Expected Hours of Work

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
