Centerline Logistics Corporation is seeking an experienced accounting professional with a mix of public and/or corporate experience.   This is an opportunity to work for a growing company in the dynamic logistics industry.  We work in-office at our beautiful Harbor Island location.  Emphasis is on corporate accounting, reconciliations, journal entries and accruals with responsibility for a variety of balance sheet and income statement accounts.  We are looking for an exceptional, self-motivated individual with a high level of intellectual curiosity and a drive to deliver exceptional accounting services to the operation. 

• Perform GL reconciliations, post accurate journal entries, and process monthly accruals
• Maintain large file liability reconciliations including corporate credit card programs and travel.
• Take an active role in month and year-end closing process.
• Lead treasury transactions and intercompany allocations.
• Assist with financial reporting, as assigned.
• Assist in preparation of periodic tax returns and application.
• Investigate balance discrepancies as needed and propose resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Staff or Senior Accountant. Public Audit experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other similar business degree.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Analytical mind and a high level of professional curiosity
• Ability to work in a high volume and sometimes high demand corporate environment
• Advanced Excel skills including lookups, pivots, and manipulating large datasets
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge or experience with Dynamics a plus
• Experience in Marine Transportation Industry a plus
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus

• Primarily in office role, required to sit or be stationary for long periods of time
• Infrequent light physical effort required and works with computers, copiers, telephones

• Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and primarily in office. Hours may vary depending on assignment.
• May be required to work extra hours to meet deadlines for periodic closings and other projects as assigned when needed.
