Overview

The Facilities Administrator is responsible for keeping the building and property of Centerline Logistics’  Seattle offices in good working order through vendor sourcing and contract oversight, project management, and hands-on maintenance work.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all day-to-day facility related operations, including patrolling premises, scheduled maintenance, ad hoc repairs, and emergency situations
  • Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses while sourcing potential third-party vendors and subcontractors to ensure CLL receives sufficient service at a reasonable cost
  • Serves as point of contact and relationship manager for third-party vendors and subcontractors and oversees their work to ensure they are adhering to agreed upon standards and scopes of work
  • Prepares, organizes, and oversees preventative maintenance and regulatory inspection scheduling and work and sees through to timely completion
  • Uses hands-on skills to assist with building repairs and issues as reasonable such as plumbing maintenance, changing light bulbs, carpentry functions and preventative maintenance in the building or grounds as required.
  • Monitors and inspects buildings and premises for fire, security, and safety issues
  • Assesses, troubleshoots, and resolves unexpected building failures in a timely and effective manner
  • Events: Set and tear down of tables, indoor and outdoor furniture, set up of hospitality items, and coordinate needs of the event facilitator or planner.  Assist in food set up, tableware – such as spoons, forks and knives, napkins, etc.  Coordinate assistance from employees as needed.  Run errands for food, beverage and miscellaneous items as needed for the events.
  • Other duties and directed by the Senior VP of Engineering

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
  • 3-5 years of experience in building and property management with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge and experience with facilities and facilities systems, including an eye for detail and an ability to identify areas in need of improvement, effectively troubleshoot problems, and develop effective and resourceful solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Must comply with all company guidelines and policy
  • General computer knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Job Condition and Environment

  • Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and ladder.
  • Work with computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones.

Expected Hours of Work

  • Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with flexibility to start earlier
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
  • Must be available to take calls and triage off-hour emergencies
